Ingredients
- 1 pound Meiring Poultry & Fish Farm tilapia filets, raw
- 1 pound Ohio freshwater shrimp, raw
- 1 cup Ohio green onions, chopped
- 1 cup Ohio celery, chopped
- 1 small Ohio carrot
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup Ohio butter
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 cup Ohio white wine
- 3 cups clam juice
- 3 teaspoons chicken bouillon
- 1 tablespoon Ohio parsley
- 1 teaspoon Ohio basil
- 1 cup Ohio heavy cream
- pepper to taste
- /4 cup pimiento
- croutons or crackers (optional)
- bacon crumbs (optional)
Instructions
In large skillet, slowly simmer fish and shrimp for 3 minutes. Cool, drain, and save liquids. Sauté onions, celery, and carrots in butter until tender. Add flour to veggies and stir. Add all other ingredients; simmering on low heat, approximately 8 to 10 minutes or in crock pot. DO NOT BOIL. Serve with croutons or crackers and bacon crumbs sprinkled on top, if desired.
